Charnwood – Skye 5 Store Stand var

The Skye is the cleanest wood-burning fireplace in the current Charnwood range. It is a new state-of-the-art fireplace with a very efficient combustion system. Its innovative burn technology ensures efficiencies of up to 86% which exceed the future European ‘SIA Eco-Design 2022’ regulations and Defra exemption limits for allowing wood to be burnt cleanly in smoke control areas. The Skye is efficient, easy to operate, and is an environmentally friendly option for heating your home.

It features a contemporary design with a large window for viewing the fire and Cleanburn air wash technology. It comes with a ‘push-in and pull-out’ Quattro Flow Air Intake, which is an air management system using a single control to manage the burning rate of the fire. It has a Multi-Fuel Converter Grate with a patented riddle mechanism, where a lever on the side of the stove controls a series of cast iron grate bars. The bars can be set as closed in a flatbed position for burning wood or be set open for burning anthracite. The grate is controlled externally, so this can be done with the door closed, while the fireplace is loaded and under fire. The combustion chamber takes a maximum log length of 29 cm. It has a drop down throat plate which enables chimney sweeping via the fireplace, and there is a pre-fitted external air intake option to maximise heat retention in your room and maintain a good ‘draw’ in your chimney. Each unit in the range features built in convection panels and rear heat shields which protect surrounding household materials in your home (such as timber and glass) without reducing the heat output of the fireplace. The Skye can be pre-ordered with an ‘optional extra’ store stand. Other ‘optional extras’ are a flue boiler and a vertical rear flue adapter. The Skye comes in standard black, with a choice of 7 extra ‘special order’ colours. This fireplace is suited to heat a small to medium sized area.
