Gas Fireplaces

Gas-burning fireplaces are easy to use and maintain and combine the classic beauty of a wood fireplace with the ease of gas. They provide instant, consistent heat and excellent temperature control. They’re also really easy to light and keep going – most can be turned on with the flick of a switch and will burn for as long as you want, no tending or extra fuel necessary. The temperature is thermostatically regulated and many models have remote controls. Some even have programmable timers so that the unit will switch on or off automatically.

A gas fireplace also burns much cleaner than wood, so there is no build-up of ashes or soot in the chimney. A gas fireplace emits absolutely no smoke, so the only maintenance required is occasional checkups to make sure there’s no dust build-up and that the hardware is in good, working order. Gas-burning fireplaces can be as beautiful as their traditional wood counterparts while offering easier use and maintenance.

We also offer a wide range of universal gas grates and built-in models that can be used to replace or modernise just about any fireplace hearth. We have picture frame, double-sided and three-sided glass options, and drop-in versions provide an elegant countertop or room dividing installation that looks magical, with dancing flames within decorative metal, or finished off with coloured glass and stones.

All installations need to be done by a certified gas installer according to the SABS SANS 10087 rules. A certificate of compliance (COC) needs to be issued and this is standard with every gas installation. Our sales consultants will recommend a trusted gas installer.
