Shipping & Delivery

We know you’ll be eager to receive your new fireplace as soon as possible.

A fireplace and/or flue kit ordered from GC Fires can weigh over 100 kg and will arrive carefully packed. Deliveries of this kind are different from standard courier drop-offs, so on this page we’ve included as much information as possible to guide you through the process. Please watch the video below and scroll down for further explanation. If you have any questions, you are always welcome to contact our office.

Do you still have questions about shipping? You can also watch this video for more details.

Delivery

What you need to know:

Lead times

  • Standard lead times are 5–7 working days, provided the item is in stock.
  • If an item is out of stock, delivery may take longer. We’ll always let you know straight away after your order is received.

Before delivery

  • Once we receive payment, we carefully pack your fireplace and/or flues for transport.
  • You’ll get an email with the waybill number, expected date, and time slot (morning or afternoon).
  • In most cases, shipping takes place within 2–3 days of your order being placed.
  • If your fireplace weighs more than 70 kg, please arrange extra hands for offloading, as this must be done by hand. A reasonable amount to lift works out to about 30–35 kg per person.
  • Deliveries are made to the entrance of your property (gate or driveway). Drivers and assistants aren’t obligated to carry goods into your home or garage, but they’ll help where possible. Please make sure you have extra hands available to help with offloading.

During delivery

  • Always inspect the outer packaging. If it’s intact and undamaged, you can sign the waybill and keep a copy.
  • If the packaging looks damaged, open it in front of the driver and check for missing or damaged items.
  • Open packaging carefully so it can be reused in case of a return.
  • If you spot any damage, take photos and report it to GC Fires within two hours of delivery by WhatsApp (064 537 8277) or email (info@gcfires.co.za).
  • Note any issues on the delivery note before signing and always keep a copy.

Important

Please remember, damage reported after the driver has left and the waybill has been signed is not covered by insurance.
